This guide is written for normal adults, not technical users. Follow each step in order and you will have a working shared plan by the end.

Step 1: Create your account

Create your account first, then verify your email. This protects your family data and makes invites work smoothly.

  1. Open Create Account and choose a strong password.
  2. Check your inbox and confirm your email.
  3. Sign in and continue into onboarding.

Step 2: Add family details and invite the second adult

In the app, this section may be labeled Adults even though some backend routes and older messages still say parents. They refer to the same family-role setup.

  1. Add family name, timezone, and home address.
  2. Add the other adult name and email.
  3. If you have a second adult, use the Add second adult button, then ask them to accept from the email link.
  4. Confirm they appear as connected in family settings.

Step 3: Add schedules and build your first plan

  1. Add at least one team calendar feed, or add manual events. If you are unsure where to get the calendar URL, use the calendar link guide.
  2. Generate the upcoming weekend plan from your dashboard.
  3. Review warnings and adjust details if needed.
  4. Confirm the plan and check notification preferences.

Common issues during onboarding

  • Invite email not received: verify spelling, check spam folder, then resend from settings.
  • Team import fails: check the calendar link in browser, then retry refresh. If needed, use the calendar URL guide.
  • Plan generation blocked: make sure family details are complete and at least one schedule source exists.
